The Daily Blotter
Mugshots of the Day
Three bookings a day — not a dump of every arrest in the county. Our editors read the day's records and pick the three with a story in them: the DUI on the strip everybody drives, the theft at the store on your corner, the only-in-Miami caper with a police report to match. Every pick carries the booking photo, a headline, and a short story written only from the arrest record — plus the link to that record, so you can check us.
Presumed innocent. Arrested is not convicted. All persons shown are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Charges shown are as booked and may be changed or dropped.
No trio published yet — on purpose. The desk is pulling today's booking records from the official county searches right now. A pick only appears here after an editor has the booking photo, the charges exactly as booked, and the official record link in hand — and a human has approved it. Nothing on this page is auto-posted, and we never fill the space with stock photos or invented bookings. Miami-Dade's official inmate search is verified and in daily use; Broward's slot opens the day the Sheriff's portal route is verified live by the desk. Arrested is not convicted. All persons shown are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Charges shown are as booked and may be changed or dropped.
How This Page Works
| Sources | Official public records only: the Miami-Dade Corrections inmate search and the Broward Sheriff's Office arrest search. Never aggregator sites, never social media, never tips alone. |
| Selection | An editor picks three bookings a day for the story in the record — place-specific and hyper-local first. It is a judgment call, and it is a human's. |
| Who never appears | Minors — never. Sealed or expunged records — never. Victims are never named or identified, in any pick, ever. |
| Case outcomes | Charges change. When a featured case is dismissed, reduced, or resolved, the outcome is added to the story. Tell us via Corrections. |
| Removal | Free, always. We never charge to remove a mugshot — Florida law prohibits charging for mugshot removal, and we wouldn't anyway. Written requests are honored within 10 days. See the Mugshot Removal Policy. |
