What We Collect
- Newsletter: your email address and consent record, only with confirmed opt-in. No purchased lists.
- Tips: whatever you type into the Send Us the Dirt form. Contact details are optional, stored separately from story material, and restricted to newsroom staff. We do not promise absolute anonymity.
- Sponsor & correction forms: the fields you submit, used to answer your inquiry or process your request.
- Analytics: only with consent handling appropriate to the configured provider; no analytics are loaded in this preview build.
What We Never Publish
Tip contents, source contact details, unredacted uploads, personal contact details, minor identities, and victim identifiers are excluded from public output and search indexing. Private evidence storage is never exposed to browsers.
Retention & Deletion
Tips that do not lead to reporting are deleted on the newsroom retention schedule (90 days in pilot mode). Subscribers can unsubscribe at any time; unsubscribed addresses are removed from sending lists.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Form data is processed by our hosting and (at launch) email providers strictly to operate this publication.
