Send Us the Dirt
Strange incident? Business dispute? A public document the rest of Miami missed? Send it here.
How tips work: every submission is treated as unverified. A tip can start our reporting; it can never become a published story on its own. We verify independently against records before anything runs, and a human editor approves every story.
Privacy: contact details are optional and are stored separately from story material, visible only to newsroom staff. We do not promise absolute anonymity — if a court ordered disclosure, we might not be able to prevent it. Attachments are limited to documents/images (no executables), are scanned and quarantined, and are never published raw.
Send Us THE CHECK
Got a receipt that made your eyes water — the bottled-water line, the service charge stacked on the tip, the total that belongs in a museum? Send it here. Every day our desk verifies the submissions against the business's published menu prices, redacts everything personal, and crowns one winner on The Check.
The rules, plainly: the photo is required (The Check is the receipt). The original is stored privately and never published — only the desk's redacted copy runs. You're credited by first name or pseudonym only. A submission is a lead, not a story: no cross-check, no crown.
