The information on this page comes from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Sexual Offenders and Predators registry, exactly as FDLE publishes it. FDLE does not independently confirm the accuracy of every record, and registry records change quickly — always verify at FDLE before relying on a listing. Positive identification of a person requires fingerprint comparison. Using registry information to harass, threaten, or commit a crime against any person is prohibited by Florida law (§775.21), and an address shown is the address FDLE has on file — it is not proof of where a person is at this moment.
Newest first — the people who most recently appeared in the FDLE file for our neighborhoods, by the date The Miami Dirt first listed them. “New” means new to the registry file, not a new offense.

How This Works
Florida law requires people convicted of qualifying sexual offenses to register their addresses with the state, and FDLE publishes that registry so residents can check their own neighborhoods. Every morning our desk downloads FDLE's official Registration List through FDLE's own public data file, matches each person to the neighborhood desk their registered address falls in, and republishes the listing exactly as FDLE carries it — same name, same designation (Sexual Predator or Sexual Offender, FDLE's labels, not ours), same address, same status.
Some listings never appear here: people FDLE lists as deceased, deported, in confinement, or in civil commitment are not in the neighborhood and are excluded, and juvenile offenders are never published on this site. People listed as absconded appear with no street address — only their last registered area — and transient listings show an area description, never a house address. FDLE's file carries no offense narrative, so neither do we: a listing shows the designation, the status, whether FDLE flags the victim as a minor, and the registered address — nothing invented, nothing embellished.
The registry is a snapshot, not a surveillance feed. Addresses change, records lag, and FDLE itself warns that its information is not independently confirmed. Search the FDLE registry directly for the live record, and report errors to FDLE — corrections happen at the source, and our next daily pull picks them up.
